The handshake, modernized

Armenia has always had varpets — masters whose word was their contract and whose name traveled from kitchen to kitchen. What it never had was a way to find them. You call your aunt, who knows a neighbor, who has a number. He says Tuesday and comes Thursday. And the price you agreed on the phone is not the price at the door.

It was never the varpet's fault. There was simply no system. So we built one: one request, pros who prove who they are, a price agreed before anyone arrives, and money that changes hands only when the work is done — cash in hand, the way it's always been.

We're starting with home cleaning in central Yerevan and growing service by service, neighborhood by neighborhood — slowly enough that quality and trust never slip.
