This policy explains what personal data Fixyan collects, why, how we use and share it, and your rights. It complies with the Republic of Armenia Law on the Protection of Personal Data (Law No. 49-ZR) and follows GDPR-equivalent principles.
1. Data we collect
- Account: name, email, phone, role (customer / Pro), language preference.
- Authentication: sign-in via Apple, Google, or email (a verification code is emailed at sign-up). We do not receive your social-account password.
- Bookings: service type, address and location of the job, schedule, price, status, messages and any photos you attach to clarify the job scope.
- Reviews & ratings: stars, review text, and optional tip amount you record.
- Payments: for cash jobs we do not process money. For card/wallet payments, a licensed third-party payment provider processes the transaction; we do not store full card numbers — we keep a payment status, a transaction reference, and the electronic fiscal receipt (e-HDM) issued for in-app payments.
- Pro verification (Pros only): a government ID image and a live selfie, used for identity verification (face match) — this is biometric personal data — plus the Pro's business registration details (IE/Microbusiness form, TIN, and registration certificate image).
- Device & usage: device tokens for push notifications, app/diagnostic logs, and crash/error reports.
Biometric consent. By submitting your government-issued ID and live selfie, you provide explicit, unambiguous consent for Fixyan to process your biometric data solely for the purpose of identity verification and fraud prevention, in strict compliance with the Republic of Armenia Law on Protection of Personal Data. Consent is requested in the app before any capture, and the time of your consent is recorded. This sensitive data is transmitted using encryption and stored in private, access-controlled storage. Fixyan has formally notified the Personal Data Protection Agency (PDPA) regarding the processing of biometric data as required by law.
2. Why we use it (purposes and lawful bases)

We do not send marketing messages without your explicit opt-in; booking updates and service messages are transactional.
3. Who we share it with
- The matched Pro / Customer: the information needed to perform the job (e.g. the Customer's address and contact, the Pro's name, rating and verified status).
- Service providers (processors): cloud hosting (AWS, EU region
eu-central-1), payment provider(s) (e.g. ArCa / IDram / Telcell), push delivery (Apple/Google), identity face-match (AWS Rekognition), and error monitoring. They process data on our instructions under data-processing agreements. - Authorities: where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
Cross-border transfers. Data is hosted in the European Union
(eu-central-1). The Personal Data Protection Agency recognizes EU Member
States as providing an adequate level of protection, so no separate transfer
authorization is required; a data-processing agreement with our cloud provider
contractually safeguards the data.
4. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed for the purposes above or to meet legal obligations.
When you delete your account (see §6), your profile, verification photos (including biometric images) and behavioral data are permanently erased, and your authentication user is deleted. However, pursuant to Armenian tax and accounting legislation, Fixyan is legally required to retain records of financial transactions — booking ledgers, e-HDM receipts, commission and fee records — for five (5) years following the end of the financial year of the transaction. This retained data is isolated, marked as belonging to a deleted account, and used exclusively for regulatory compliance, tax audits, and dispute resolution. Addresses on past bookings are redacted at deletion. Chat message content is stored against pseudonymous identifiers that no longer resolve to you after deletion.
5. Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, EU-region cloud storage, and private storage for sensitive items (e.g. Pro ID images are stored privately and viewed only via short-lived, access-controlled links). No system is perfectly secure; we work to protect your data and respond to incidents. In the event of a personal-data breach, we notify the Personal Data Protection Agency and the Police of the Republic of Armenia within three (3) working days and publish an announcement as required by law.
6. Your rights
Under Armenian law, you have the right to request access to, correction of, restriction of, or permanent deletion of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent (e.g. for marketing or biometric processing). You can delete your account in-app (Account & Security for customers; Profile for Pros), which permanently removes your personal data as described in §4.
To exercise other rights, contact privacy@fixyan.am. To protect your privacy, we verify your identity before acting on a request. We acknowledge and fulfil all valid data-subject requests within thirty (30) days of receipt, in accordance with statutory deadlines.
7. Children
Fixyan is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy and will notify you of material changes in the app.
